Explosion Doors
are available with a lightweight aluminum honeycomb core or lexan (and
other construction materials) and are designed in accordance with NFPA 68.
Doors often provide explosion/pressure relief solutions that explosion
vents can not. For example, when large areas or low release pressures are
required, explosion doors offer the best solution. When used in
conjunction with the gas fight seal, leakage is not an issue. Flexibility
as to the geometry/shapes allows optimizing of relief area. They can also
provide vacuum relief. |
